It is false to say that Denise O’Brien didn’t feed her cows.

She handled the poultry operations at the family farm, not cattle.

A farmhand her husband hired wasn’t doing his job properly. When O’Brien’s husband found out, he fired the employee. This all happened about 20 years ago. No sanctions were ever imposed. This is a non-story dragged out by Republicans to prevent an opponent of CAFOs from getting elected to statewide office.

If O’Brien’s opponents cared about animal welfare, they would be doing something about the conditions in CAFOs.
