If she did, she would probably crack the top 5. Between Boswell and Tom Rielly, there will be a lot of competitive races in her district already and any help for the Democratic candidate there makes an impact further up the ticket. The party chose to pull out financing and redirect funds to more certain races. Despite having no funding for targeted mailings, television ads,few radio spots, Democratic challenger Steckman came within 819 votes (that's equivalent to a swing of only 410 votes) of defeating Schickel; Schickel spent over $100,000 dollars vs only $23,000 by Steckman.
