[...] Former Governor Mark Warner (who again spoke with me on Sunday at the Steak Fry) let me know about a new intitiative they were launching on Sunday in an effort to help statewide Democrats get elected, called Change the Map in Iowa. It follows in the legacy of their mapchangers initiative and targets one state. There are amazing candidates who you can support in this endeavor. Hannah at Iowa Progress makes the case for Eric Palmer (a great candidate) and I’m sure we’ll see some cases made for many other candidates as well. [...]

I appreciate your efforts to generate funds for Eric Palmer, who is a deserving candidate, but I'm disappointed by your methods. I've met Eric and he has a lot more going for him than being "Not Danny Carroll."

You're absolutely right. Eric's going to do fantastic things in the State House, plus he's just a really chill guy to know. I wanted to emphasize the difference between Danny Carroll's ignominous fundraising partners and a more grassroots-oriented attempt to get some money for Eric, and as a result I did a bad job of covering the positives.
